The Disruptive Decarbonization Prize is seeking the most innovative decarbonization solution to address climate change. Breakthrough technologies are sought to help urban cities remove carbon emissions at scale, including revolutionary technology-based carbon capture, utilization and storage solutions; low-carbon solutions or solutions that decarbonizes energy, urban infrastructure, and transport and logistics systems. - Significantly reduce the carbon emissions produced by industries and buildings (e.g. cooling systems); and/or
- Effectively capture, and convert carbon emissions into useful products (e.g. building materials, reclamation sand or synthetic fuels)
- Be carbon negative in the overall lifecycle and have zero/minimal externalities Be technology-based solutions (e.g. physical, chemical)
- Be commercially viable and scalable
All solutions submitted must also fulfil the following criteria to be considered:
- Completed proof-of-concept At Technology Readiness Level 6 and beyond
- Be scalable and commercially viable
- Applicability to conduct a pilot/testbed in Singapore
