EligibilityThe prize of $400,000 will be awarded to two (2) winners, recognizing innovative solutions that help fight the climate crisis:
1) $150,000 - awarded to a pre-seed startup as an equity investment
2) $250,000 - awarded to a seed-stage startup as an equity investment.
About the Climate Startup Equity PrizeThe Climate Startup Equity Prize supports Québec-based climate-tech startups at critical early stages of growth. The goal is to help address the well-documented funding gap at the pre-seed and seed stages, when access to capital can limit validation and the path to scale. Powered by Cycle Momentum, the prize is delivered through the Origo investment matching program, providing investment-based awards aligned with market standards. All investments are subject to due diligence and final approval by Cycle Momentum. Awards are provided as investments under an industry-standard convertible note, designed to support early-stage growth while aligning founder and investor interests.
